Wednesday evening

Jess dear,

We are still leading a fairly quiet life… with nothing exciting to report. We did a little job last night, as a result of which I got no sleep, but have had a couple of hours in bed this afternoon. Losing sleep is no hardship when we are able to obtain compensation so easily.

You will probably know more about the general situation than I do. But I have kept fairly well in touch lately… via the radio… and have been much impressed by the progress of the Americans. They seem to be making remarkable progress. Everything seems to be going well on the Caumont sector, too. It is certainly very encouraging news… but not to the Nazis. I don’t know how the news from Turkey will affect them… but it certainly will not heighten their morale.

Have not seen Noel Wright lately, but I know he is not far away. May see him tomorrow.

Au revoir, my dear.

Trevy.
