Jess dear,
I have nothing to report since my last letter… This is simply to let you know I am O.K… and waiting for your next letter. We are still enjoying a life of comparative ease… and last evening I saw a cinema show… “Melody Inn”. I have thus been ‘entertained’ twice on two consecutive evenings… quite a record!
Local conditions are a little better now because the electricity supply has been restored. Can therefore read and write in the evenings now… instead of going to bed immediately after tea. Will probably be able to write you a decent letter too.
