Thurs evening<\/p>\n

My Darling, There has been a fair amount of confusion lately, and letter writing has been impossible. It seems ages since I wrote to you… It must be at least three or four days. This is terrible: I hope you will forgive me, dear one… I can only ask you to believe me when I say that I have not<\/strong> been able to write… I can imagine your disappointment as the days have gone by without a letter from me: I hate to think about it. I can only hope you have not been worrying too much.<\/p>\n

This evening I am in a house with a Belgian family… trying to accustom myself to the French language once again. Needless to say, I am confused… but hope to be ‘organised’ again very soon. I have much to tell you:- at least, I feel that I have a lot to write about, but I cannot manage a decent letter just now. We have only just settled in here and it is well after 10.00 pm. I cannot keep this family out of their beds much longer. I am well, Jessie Mine, but not yet back on my old job. I hope you have ceased to worry about my health.<\/p>\n

Jess… I love you so much, dear one… And my thoughts just lately have been more than ever with you… with you both… I will try and send you a more newsy letter tomorrow… But I cannot promise: everything is too ‘fluid’ at the moment. Please don’t worry, Jess. I am quite O.K… and looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks time.<\/p>\n
