Friday evening<\/p>\n

Jess dear,<\/p>\n

We have been fairly busy today and I am left with little time for writing… not that it matters much because I have little of interest to talk about. Even your letters are held up again somewhere as it is now three or four days since I received one. Perhaps there will be a batch for me tomorrow.<\/p>\n

I have seen Mr. Cornelese again today and have had to promise to call on him again tomorrow… principally to collect a P\/c enlargement of the ‘photo I sent you some time ago. I will send it on – perhaps with my next letter.<\/p>\n

The weather over here has become much warmer during the last day or two, and most of the snow has disappeared, leaving behind the usual squelchy mess. I hope conditions are better with you now… and that you have had no trouble with burst pipes etc. Judging by the papers, England seems to have suffered almost a record freeze-up during recent weeks… and frozen pipes appear to have been the rule.<\/p>\n
