Monday evening<\/p>\n

Jess dear…<\/p>\n

Have not yet reached ‘journey’s end’, but have not much further to go. I expect to be with my crew once again tomorrow. Meanwhile, am sleeping in a civvy house with Les Challinor. There is little I can tell you just now, dear… My journey was quite uneventful… and I had more than enough to eat… thanks to your delightful sandwiches. They lasted for 36 hours!<\/p>\n

Managed to call at Mr C’s house (Mr. Cornelese in Eindhoven)<\/em> today and delivered the presents. Mrs. C and Thea were rather amazed… Did not see Mr. C as he was at work, but shouldn’t be surprised if he writes to you. Have met a few members of the squadron this evening and seem to have done much talking about England… that fabulous place which seems so unreal from this side.<\/p>\n
