My Dear Jess, Time is now getting on, and there is little I can say under present circumstances, but I want to implore you once again to try and forget depressing thoughts. Just continue with your calm optimism… and let little Barry occupy all your thoughts and attention… By so doing, you will be helping me. I expect there will soon be some delays in your letters, but I know that I will ultimately receive them, and you can imagine how I will look forward to them. And please don’t be alarmed if you don’t hear from me for a little while. I will send you word as frequently as I am allowed.<\/p>\n

It is impossible for me to write to all our friends and relations, but I hope you will remember me to them. I am looking forward to seeing them all again in the not too distant future… And I am living eagerly for the day when I will be with you once again.<\/p>\n

Never forget, dear, that I love you and that you will always be in my thoughts, with little Barry. It will be lovely receiving your letters about his progress.<\/p>\n
