Ernest was engaged (later married) to Phyllis Lambert, Jess&#8217;s cousin on her mother&#8217;s side.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan='2' style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Friends and colleagues<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Garsden<\/td>\n<td>Pre and post-war work colleague from Edison and Swan Electric Company (Ediswan), Trevor&#8217;s boss<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Stan and Dora Smith<\/td>\n<td>Close and life-long friends. They shared a very deep love of classical music with Jess and Trevor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cornelese family<\/td>\n<td>Dutch family from Eindhoven. Befriended Trevor from 8th October 1944, when they first provided hospitality for Trevor and other troops.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Wilfrid (Wilf) Colclough<\/td>\n<td>A close friend of Trevor&#8217;s, who wrote to him frequently. Subsequently transferred to TDU.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cpl Bill Geary<\/td>\n<td>Wireless operator and loader in Trevor&#8217;s crew from 9th July 1944 until wounded along with Johnny Boland at Cr&egrave;vecoeur on 20th August 1944.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Trp. Dave Slade<\/td>\n<td>Co-driver in Trevor&#8217;s crew.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>L\/cpl Ted Pestell<\/td>\n<td>Gunner in Trevor&#8217;s crew until transferred to Mr Francis&#8217; tank in November 1944.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Tpr. Derek Pedder<\/td>\n<td>Wireless operator and co-driver in Trevor&#8217;s crew<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Tpr. Eric Ward<\/td>\n<td>Driver in Trevor&#8217;s crew, replaced Boland.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Crick<\/td>\n<td>Gunner in Trevor&#8217;s crew, replaced Pestell from end of November 1944.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Sgt Dicky Hall<\/td>\n<td>Fellow C Squadron tank commander and friend<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Jimmy and Jess Aldcroft<\/td>\n<td>Friend of Trevor&#8217;s in B Squadron, injured on 10th July 1944.
