Jess dear,

Another brief letter. I guess you must be rather tired of my recent efforts… but I hope you will forgive me. I have little news these days… and circumstances are not at present conducive to letter writing. But unless something unforeseen happens, I may be able to write more fully tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I can tell you that I am well, and living in a reasonably civilised manner. We even have electric light – which is a lot to be thankful for!

The news continues to be good… although I do wish we had more details: it is provoking to be living through such a significant period of the war, and being denied the full story. But I s’pose it will be revealed before long: we must be patient.

Au revoir, my dear.

Yours always

Trevy.
