31.3.45

Jess dear,

Once again there is little I can tell you… and my time this evening is limited in any case.

The parcel arrived today and I want to thank you for fulfilling my “order”: you certainly made sure that I would have sufficient blacking! I doubt whether I will now require any more for the remainder of the war.

I also received a letter today… dated 29.3.45: the mail service seems to have improved remarkably during the last few days. It is nice to hear from you so rapidly. I only hope this quicker service applies also to my letters.

Please forgive this brief note, Jess. I may be able to say more tomorrow, but cannot promise under present circumstances.

Yours always,

Trevy.
