Tuesday evening

Jess dear,

I have not yet got ‘into my stride’ so far as letter writing is concerned, but it makes little difference as there is no real news for me to convey as yet.

I am already anxiously awaiting your first letter since our brief re-unioun and am even hoping that there may be something for me tomorrow… and that just shows that I must be a super-optimist, and terribly greedy.

I have been wondering a lot about Barry… did his cold cause him any further bother? And are you quite well again? I hope so. I am reasonably comfortable at the moment… living in a civvy billet… with light and warmth, so I have no cause for complaint. The weather too has been quite mild for the last couple of days.

Please forgive this scrappy note, darling. I will make up for it later.

Yours always,

Trevy.
