Monday evening

Jess dear, – Once again there seems to be a hold up in the mail service: it is now four days since I last heard from you, and I’m pretty sure the weather is the cause. It has been extremely wintery of late, and the snow is now very deep. In addition, it freezes hard every night, and rarely thaws during the day. This evening, a fog has appeared from somewhere and so I don’t suppose there will be any chance of the mails arriving tomorrow. I sincerely hope my letters to you are not being similarly delayed.

I have little news for you dear:- my life is very uneventful these days… But I hope to be able to write you a longer letter this evening.

Aur revoir, my dear

Yours

Trevy.
