Jess dear…
Conditions are not so good for a long letter this evening, but I know a few words are better than nothing.
At the moment, am sitting in a comfortable drawing room and some of my colleagues are amusing themselves with a first class radio-gram. A large bottle of port wine has been “laid-on” by our host and hostess, so the atmosphere is quite congenial. Have today found a genuine bathroom, complete with bath… the first I have seen since leaving England. Intend to make use of it before going to bed. It is about ten months since I had a decent bath!
Am quite well, dear… in spite of the arctic conditions out here.
Hope it is warmer at home… for my leave!
Au revoir,
Yours always,
Trevy.
