Tuesday
Jess dear,
I was very glad to receive a letter from you yesterday… the first for four days. There seems to have been another mail hold-up somewhere, but it will no doubt be only temporary.
I only hope that you are now receiving my letters without the former long delays. Unfortunately, I cannot write daily under all conditions, but there should never be a gap of more than a day or two.
I have been wondering whether you have yet had your excursion to M/c (Manchester). What a stranger you will be to the place! It will be a nice change for you my dear… and I hope you make the most of it… But in spite of your confidence in Phyl (Jess’s cousin Phyllis), I imagine that you will be nervous about leaving the nipper… and probably glad to get back to him-!
Once again I have no news for you. I am quite well… and doing very little at present.
I hope to write you more fully later in the day.
Au revoir, my dear.
Yours always,
Trevy
